Look closely. He is camouflaged amid the branches. He flew away shortly after I snapped just one picture... but he sure was cool to see.

Beautiful. I enlarged your photo and could see him better, but boy he is camoflouged well.
ReplyDeleteCool is right. I read in our local paper they have been tagging saw-whet owls just a few miles from me.
ReplyDeleteVery unusual for them to be this far south. They are tiny little things about 7 or 8 inches in height. Probably won't spot anything that small in a tree.
That is so neat. We had one once, they are so wonderful to be able to spot, but rare around here.
