~*Pattern Correction*~

Hello Dear Friends... I feel just horrible! A kind stitcher brought this to my attention this morning... I messed up. On my latest pattern release, ~*Spring Pillow Tuck*~ I omitted 3 tiny lil' stitches on the letter 'J'. It is easy to see the missing stitches on the pattern photo... but that doesn't change my feeling of dismay. I am so sorry. Here is the corrected spot of the chart...

I guess we all make mistakes from time to time... but still, I feel horrible.

Thank you for purchasing my patterns... and making such beautiful stitches with them. I promise to be more careful with my pattern~checks in the future.

Warm smiles...
Betty

  1. Hi Betty, I've been dabbling w/soft the last couple months, and I could swear the software is dropping stitches. Not many but one or two which surprise me upon final review. Do you think a possible software glitch could exist? Do we really know exactly how stable the software is? Maybe it wasn't your oversight, or maybe I'm loosing my stitches and my marbles lol:) Nonetheless, hope you're doing well, always enjoy your blog.

  2. Hi Betty,
I know exactly how you feel, only what I did was much worse. If you go to my blog www.plainfancymerchant.blogspot.com you will see what I mean.
I've been doing this for 30+ years and you would think I would have learned how to proof read by now, but every now and then something slips by us. Thankfully, most stitchers are very understanding.
    Many Happy Stitches,
    Sandra

  3. I've been doing cross-stich for many, many years -- there have been lots of errors on patterns throughout that time -- even from the big companies. Not to worry - most times it is a quick and easy fix!!
And may I say, that in all of the cross-stitching I've done, I don't think there is one finished piece without an error somewhere in it!! I did a large anniversary sampler and messed up on a very big part of the pattern -- and could not figure out where.... It was a border around the writing and it just wasn't coming out even. So in my frustration I left it and fudged my way through the rest of it. I defy anyone to find that mistake! Anyway, point is -- we are all human!!
    Have a happy day!

  4. Hi,Betty
With all the work you always have going, it's no
wonder that a slight boo-boo will happen. Years
ago when I was a lowly typist in a typing pool,
they always told us we couldn't proofread our own
work. I disagree, but the eyes do get tired.
You continue to be a marvel to me.
    Keep on stitching!
    Warm Regards,
    Susan B. Western MASS

  5. don't be sad, dear Betty, you are so talented! I want to tell you a little story that I heard in a museum of tapestry:In the past, the weavers made deliberate errors in their works;it was a sign of humility.I agree with Penny:"we are all human",only God is perfect. With big smiles
