Good afternoon dear friends! I'm feeling so motivated & full of inspiration. Despite sore arms and tired fingers... I picked up my needle, grabbed some floss and linen... and started designing up a new cross stitch sampler. Yup... I'm stitching blindly and making up the design as I work. Here is what I stitched up last night during the football game...
I'm working ahead and thinking of Christmas... so maybe I can get a release finished to offer soon enough for you to stitch for the season too.
My morning was spent scrapping more wallpaper. I'm using a spray bottle and warm water. Would you believe I've actually worn out a spray bottle on this job? At least I can report the wallpaper is about 80% gone. It won't be much longer now... and then the fun can begin. Well... if you call plaster patching and painting fun.
Wishing you all warm smiles...
Betty

Yay, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteWe usually put a little vinegar in the water too..might give it a try! Dianntha
ReplyDeleteIt looks great so far. Wallpaper stripping has to be one of the worst jobs on earth. I've been through it many time. Did you consider renting a steamer. It makes the job go so fast. We rent ours from Home Depot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see a Christmas sampler in the works. Keep that inspiration coming!
ReplyDeleteI like what i see!
ReplyDeleteOhhh! The sampler looks wonderful! Stripping wallpaper is a horrible job. That's why my kitchen still has the paper on it. Have you ever tried fabric softener in your water. It works well and keeps your hands from drying out, too. I mix about half & half in a spray bottle. Use the cheap brand!
ReplyDeleteI love how you design pieces that look like they were made in the 1800's. I was in the mood to cross stitch, but ended up hooking a small mat.

ReplyDeleteStudio looks like it is really coming along. I love that little house. I can picture the wonderful things you'll do with it.
