~*Someone Is In The Doghouse!*~

Hello Dear Friends! I spent a good chunk of the day today over in the studio punching the day away. I'm trying to get some items finished for the Early Work Mercantile update... on July 1st. I was very happy to have one finished punch... stained with my walnut & spice mix... and drying on the clothesline.

BUT!

When I went out to get it... this is what I found...

Empty clothespins... except for a few stray threads! Now, we live in the country & don't have close neighbors ~ not that someone would walk into the backyard to take such a thing anyway. The day was a little breezy, but I couldn't see it blowing off the line. But I began looking...

I looked in the bushes near the clothesline...

around the backyard... gradually making my circular paths larger and larger...

just wondering where the heck my punched piece could have gone.

THEN I SPOTTED IT!

And it wasn't alone!

(Can you tell where I am going with this?)

Yup... someone is truly in the doghouse!

Fortunately... the punch wasn't damaged... and I do still love my Brownie boy!

Silly puppy!

Wishing you all warm smiles...

  1. Funny but not;) I put a rug out to dry and left it out for a few days, big mistake. The birds decided they wanted the wool and pecked a hole right through and ruined it. Never do that again.

  10. That is such a funny story...guess Brownie was only trying to help Mom :) Of course now I remember why I have a doxie and a corgi...both of them have short little legs that have to work a little harder than most to get into trouble!

  11. I think because you were so busy and not able to play outside on such a beautiful day, Brownie was missing you and wanted to spend time with you. He found the next best thing :)

P.S. I love how she's not looking at the camera. Starting to feel a little guilty?

  12. Methinks he was jealous that the little piece of fabric was getting more attention than he was... and yes... he's still a cutie!

  16. Brownie must like your walnut and spice mixture! Or maybe he just wanted a punched piece of his own....perhaps you should punch him something and hang it low where he can appreciate it :)

  22. Poor Brownie..he just so loved your work that he wanted it all for himself. My Riley cat use to snatch up my embroidery floss when I was not looking. Even though he is gone now, I still cannot find where he put them..the only place I cannot get back into is behind the furnace, but my guess is he could. Can't wait for the July 1st update. take care, Janice
