~*Slow Down Sunday*~

Hello Dear Friends! Today... well, I'm hoping it will be Slow Down Sunday. However, I think it is going to be a Stay Busy and Speed Clean the House Sunday! Anyone else needing to get caught up on house work today? I've been busy playing & my house has been neglected!

Part of the playing was on Friday. It was the 1st Grade Field Trip to Topeka (an hour away). We went to a farm & home store because the kids have been learning about Farming as part of their science curriculum. The kids were so excited! They we able to see & pet baby chicks and ducklings... and even a couple of rabbits! Lunch was at McDonald's ~ of course! You KNOW they all LOVED that! After lunch, we went to Gage Park. This is THE BEST place for play fun! It is the park that I always loved best when I was a kid! This 'shoe' was always one of my favorite play toys ~ Trinity is on the very top right...

Seeing him so happy just made my day!

Before I go dust off my vacuum cleaner ~ I want to share some more AWESOME WORKS with you...

Both Ann and Pat (no blog?) worked up the freebie ~*1857 Bunny*~. Each is so super sweet!

Ann's darling finish ~

Pat's charming finish ~

Aren't they both just LOVELY? I think so! Thank you Ladies for working with my doodle & sharing!

I think I hear dust bunnies fighting... guess I better go get a handle on them!

Many warm smiles to you...
Betty

  1. Unfortunately I'm going to do a fair bit of cleaning today also! I wish that I could just sit down and stitch or sew...but my dust bunnies are also screaming at me :)

  2. Well... you could let those dust bunnies fight one another until there's only ONE left? That would make it easier on you! LOL! Looks like you and Trinity had a great day out on Friday! Good to see some smiles!!!

  3. Hello Betty!

I so love your work! Your friends did such a nice job on their bunnies! If I didn't have a zillion projects going on right now myself I would do one myself.

When I was growing up there was a park in Roswell, NM, that had a pink shoe. That was my very favorite park in the world! I had remembered it being in another "town" (read "spot in the road") in NM but could never find it. I figured they had torn it down, but I had a picture of the shoe so I just had to be happy with that. Well then we took a trip to Roswell two years ago and THERE WAS MY SHOE! It had been wating for me for 30 years to come back and find it!

Incidently, we lived in Tyrone, OK the second year after we were married. Such a cute little town. We both worked in Liberal, KS - the "yellow brick road" town. I wasn't sure I liked it at the time; but looking back they were good memories.

    Have a nice week!

  4. When am I not cleaning, lol. I swear that my house stayed cleaner when the kids were young, now I think I have dirt goblins who run around throwing things all over the place and carefully placing dust balls and globs of pet fur in all the corners;)

  5. I just wanted to let you know how much I love your blog and your freebies. I used your pattern, "Tulip Time", on one of my Raggedy Annies. Check it out on my blog if you get a chance! Thanks, Jenny

  7. Ah, Betty, it looks like the kids loved Gage Park. When my grandson was still little, my daughter had his 3rd or 4th birthday party there in the small cottage and the kids sure loved playing on the animals.

If you got your house speed cleaned, want to come and help me with mine? I've been sick for the past week and a half and it's been a struggle to keep up with laundry and a general sucking up of the kitty fur.
