of a new year, with a new hook,
and a blank canvas...
Yes, I have gobs of other projects in varies states of completion... but I'm just itching to start something new. Maybe because it is a new year? Or maybe that is just me... always have the wheels turning with ideas.
Tony and I stopped by an antique store yesterday. He found a cool 'Coca Cola' ice pick for only a few dollars... and had the idea to make me another rug hook. How cool!
Believe me, I didn't waste any time getting a crochet hook to him ~ so he could get the new rug hook made. Now I'm ready to give it a try! I wonder what will become of that blank canvas?
Wishing you all warm smiles...

My mind also never stays quiet long enough to finish a project. But I have my heart set on a finishing my Valentine's Day pattern. Of course I haven't even started it yet :)
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing more fun then letting the mind wonder into the creation of something new...Have fun... I'll be watching to see what comes of the canvas!

ReplyDeleteHow cool to have a hook with coca cola and to be made by your husband. Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you create! That is most certainly a great coca cola hook! Have a most wonderful and blessed New Year!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful old new hook! And what a great idea to make one using the coca cola handle - I'll have to start looking around to see what I have at home that might be used in that way. Can you tell me what crochet hook you used for it? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks all! Gayle, this one is a size F crochet hook, but we have made them using a J hook before too. Oh, and for those interested... Tony may be making more to sell. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the handle! can't wait to see what becomes of the blank canvas :)
ReplyDeleteLove how Tony has fashioned you this beautiful hook. What a treasure. I'll be looking forward to seeing what becomes of the blank canvas and your new hook!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, dear ♥, love the hook, ask Tony to put my name of the list for an order. Don't want to tarry, he might only have a couple of coke handles. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm starting a new project. All I'm telling for now is that it will have some wheels.(maybe)
