Hello Dear Friends! Happy Friday to y'all! You know what that means... ~*Friday Finishes*~ time!
This lovely finish comes from my dear friend, PatiJane. She stitched up the ~*Easter*~ freebie minus the border so it would fit in her frame. She is a frequent thrift store shopper and found this piece of Aida for only 50 cents. Don't ya just love a great bargain? And don't ya just love PatiJane's finish? Lovely!
Thank you for stitching & sharing PatiJane!
Now... y'all have probably noticed that I have been super quiet all week. Well, i have been working like a crazy woman trying to get some finishes for the craft show I'm doing tomorrow with my sweet SIL, Robin. The show is at the Emporia Mall in Emporia, KS from 10-4 tomorrow. If you are near, please stop by! I don't expect the show to be a BIG one, but Robin & I will be working on our needle punch and rug hooking to pass the time... and hope to inspire more to get into the primitive crafts that we love so much.
Here are some things I've been able to finish...
Some cross stitch finishes ~ the top three are my creations, the bottom two are patterns from friends.
The one on the left is a Stacy Nash pattern. I stitched up the sampler long ago and never got around to sewing it into the bunny. So, for a quick finish, I just nailed it to an old board.
The one on the right is from Marianne of Midnight Stitching. It too was stitched up awhile ago and I didn't know how I wanted to finish it. So... since I liked the idea of adding it to a board... I did.
Some needle punch finishes. Some you have seen before, and some are new. The cat in the upper left is from a doodle offered by Kelley of Kanderdoodle... I just love her kitty doodles!
Some hooked hickety~pickety mats...
Several Oxford Punch ~ hit n' miss mats...
And several Oxford Punch ~ prim mats...
I'm also planning on taking my cross stitch patterns. Plus... Robin will have many goodies to offer as well.
Once I get things priced & packed... I'll be ready for tomorrow. Don't worry... I plan to take my camera along too! My next post should be show pictures.
Wishing you all warm smiles...
Betty

ReplyDeleteHi Betty,
ReplyDeleteI have a question for ya,
Fill me in on the deal with the Oxford punch for "rug hooking"
Does it come out the same? Is it easier? I am thinking it would be.
I currently use 1/4" wool strips for hooking, will that work in an Oxford?
I am real curious and am thinking of picking one up, but want to know the deal first.
BTW: great finishes this week! I am working on my Easter freebie, hopefully will have it done by next Fri.
Hugs,
Kerri
