~*Friday Finishes*~

Hello Dear Friends!  There are a few finishes to share with you this week.  These are all my own finishes...

Are you a member of Country Samplers' Prim Sister Club?   This is my next pattern release for the club...

Prim Sisters ~*Darning*~ Pinkeep....
The pinkeep has a unique rounded top to it...
 and tassels in each corner...
You still have time to sign up, if you are interested.  Contact the girls at Country Sampler for more info.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I made these little ~*Jumpin' Jacks*~ last night...

just something quick and fun...

I also painted this week.  These are 'found' wooden pieces I made a nice old, weathered, white... (with chalk paint, of course!)
The firkin has sold... but the other pieces are in our booth at Rerun Consignments and Mall in Council Grove.

This table is NOT done yet.  I do plan to paint it.  Earlier this week, I posted it on my Facebook page asking for votes on the color.  I asked Red?  White?  or Blue?  My very favorite color won!  It is going to be RED!  Maybe it will get painted this weekend...

Speaking of my Facebook page... do you LIKE it?  I just hit 800 likes tonight... and will be posting information for a GIVEAWAY on it in the next few days ~ as my way of saying THANK YOU.  So... swing by & like it!  The prize will be something made by me.  *smile*

Wishing you all warm smiles...

~*Friday Finishes*~

Hello Dear Friends & Happy Friday!

Here is a lovely, ~*Friday Finish*~ to share with you...

Maureen stitched beautifully to create her own finish of my ~*Freebie Bunny Sampler*~.  It is delightful!  She told me she normally doesn't stitch on Aida, but she stitched this while riding in the car... and if you have ever tried to stitch on linen while traveling, you know how hard that can be.  Aida or Linen... it is a wonderful finish!

Maureen has lots more sweet little stitches on her blog.  Click on her name above and give her a visit.

Thank you, Maureen, for stitching and sharing!

Today has been a busy day.  It started with a short road trip with my sweet SIL, Robin, to check on our booth at ReRun Consignments and Mall.  We were happy to see a few items have found new homes... and are still excited about getting more things finished and stocked up.

If you are near Council Grove, Kansas... stop by!

After returning home, I picked Trinity up from school early so we could get to Topeka in time for his first piano competition.  He has been in one recital... but not a graded competition until today.  He was very nervous, but did an awesome job... receiving lots of praise from the judge and scored all A's and B's... mostly A's.
He was just practicing in this photo... but look at that concentration!

Before returning home, I stopped by a few shops.  I found some great upholstery fabric scraps and some small wood pieces for re~do.  I'm dying to get back to painting & re~doing more pieces... but must finish some cross stitches first.

Now that I'm back home... the remainder of my day will be filled with stitches.  Last week I thought I had the pattern for the Prim Sister Club finished... but Jeanne & I decided to take a different approach at it.  So my next pattern IS now charted up... and almost completely stitched.  If all goes well... it will be constructed and photographed this weekend... and emailed to Jeanne by Monday.

The other pattern that I did first for the club will be a regular release... once I'm caught up.

The weekend will be filled with stitches... and more stitches... and hopefully some paint!  I'll have my shop open tomorrow for anyone wanting to visit.

Wishing you all warm smiles...

Betty

~*Friday Finishes*~... on Monday

Hello Dear Friends!

I'm so sorry!  I fully intended to share this finish with you this past Friday for ~*Friday Finishes*~... and, well, time got away from me.

This lovely was stitched by Becky... a finish of my freebie ~*Spring Freebie*~

Isn't it lovely? The threads Becky used are so cheerful! She made this for one of her stitching exchanges. Thank you, Becky, for stitching and sharing! Again, I am so sorry for not posting on my normal schedule.

Friday afternoon, and again on Saturday morning, I visited several local garage sales.  My truck was loaded up with lots of reasonably priced things.  I haven't taken any pictures yet, but there will be before & after shots.  I bought several pieces of furniture to re~do... and make all prim pretty!

Sunday we drove 2 1/2 hours away from home... so my husband could fulfill one of his dreams.  Doesn't he look GREAT?

Thankfully, he doesn't have any broken bones!  He does have sore muscles from head to toe... and from cheek to cheek though.  *smile*  He is so happy and had a GREAT time!  He has plans to go back to race more a few times this Summer.

I'm stitching and stitching... and have promised myself not to begin any more projects until the model I'm working on is finished.  So... time for me to get back to my needle...

Wishing you warm smiles...

Betty

~* What's Up *~

Hello Dear Friends!  I thought I would share a little of ~*What's Up*~... around here...

Rain! Rain!  Glorious RAIN!!!!

Look at those lovely puddles...
We have really needed the rain.  The drought has dried up our well... and hopefully it is now filling back up!

Last weekend, I attended a local estate auction.  I found several goodies.  Some were good as they were... and some have been re~done... or are waiting to be re~done.

I stopped by our booth in Council Grove at ReRun Consignments & Mall yesterday to add some new items... and ended up re~arranging it all...  a fresh new look!

This vintage clothes hanger was one of my auction wins...
I bought an old and VERY BEAT UP cabinet... so I could SAVE the doors.  This is one of the doors!  I painted it with my homemade red, chalk paint.  Then I added chalkboard paint to the middle.  And my FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS PIECE... THE HANDLE!!  It is from an antique printer's tray (also won at the auction).  The tray was not salvageable as it was, but the handle is perfect for holding chalk!
It reads "Hamilton".  How cool, huh?
Also won was an old, sugar cone mold (great for displaying candles!)...
 And a sweet little basket...
This milking stool was another auction win.  This is how it looks NOW... after I painted it with red chalk paint...
This is how it looked before...
After working on the booth, I met up with the sweet ladies in Council Grove for some rug hooking.  Of course, I forgot to pull my camera out of my bag while I was there.  We were too busy visiting, hooking, and eating.  And having a great time!

This is what I worked on while there yesterday... just a simple hit n' miss... scrappy little rug...

I have many more re~do projects in the works... pieces won at the auction.  As I get more finished on them, I will share the progress.

My cross stitches are moving along.  I have one pattern about ready for RELEASE... and another one getting closer.  With any luck... they will be here and ready before too much longer.  I know many of you are waiting patiently.  Thank you for that!

Wishing you warm smiles...

Betty

~*Friday Finishes*~

Hello Dear Friends!  Time is slipping by.  It has been a week since my last update.  I've thought of blog posts, but yet haven't made my way to the computer to type them in.  I guess now is better than not at all!

Awhile back I shared some gifts given to me by my dear friends Ginger & PatiJane.  They are cutting circles for penny rugs & putting them together in kits.  They will be offering these kits at their booth in Silver Dollar City this Summer.  Ginger gave me a grouping of circles & PatiJane gave me a penny rug kit.  Yesterday, I stitched up the rug kit...

The photograph itself is not all that flattering, but the rug is primitively, charming (if I do say so myself!).  Under one of the pennies... I added a REAL PENNY!  This is a tidbit of information I learned recently from Ginger.  She said this was done long ago ~ with the penny heads up, of course ~ to wish Good Luck.  How sweet!

These lovely woolly pillows are something I have been meaning to share with you for a long while now...
Recently my dear friend, Kelley, hosted a little woolly swap.  We were all to come up with a simple, hand stitched wool pillow to share with the group.  (Ginger added a penny to hers.)  She made the penny pillow on the bottom right.  The dogwood pillow was made by Sharon.  The bird is Kelley's.  The star is PatiJane's.  The bunny is mine.  The hand & heart is Cathy's.  Aren't they all super sweet?  I will treasure them always!  Having handmade treasures throughout the home is so heart warming!

On a stitching note... I just emailed a photograph of my next Prim Sister Club model to Jeanne at the Country Sampler!  It is the next kit and due out in May/June.

Have you heard about the Giveaway Ginger & PatiJane are offering?  Well.. hop on over there & check it out!  You will be happy you did!

Wishing you warm smiles...
