Each dolly has extra ~ added touches... Milly has a cross stitched purse and needle punched kitty. Hattie May has a cross stitched, wood shaving filled pinkeep. Each has an old rusty key around her neck. And they both have added charm & character from distressing & staining. I have put a lot of special care into them... and signed them for individuality.

While each dolly has been personalized and change greatly from the pattern... I would like to give an extra, special THANK YOU to Jackie Schmidt of T.F.C. Folk Art for making some of the coolest, prim~est dolly patterns ever!

Hello Dear Friends! It has been another full day... but I did find time to update my Poppy Shoppe and list my kitty rug on Ebay. I'm sure it won't be much longer and The Primitive Gathering will be ready too. Swing by and take a look if you have time. Here is one of the ditties...

She said she was inspired by me to make this super ditty. (I'm so thrilled... because it really is GREAT!) Jeanne is new to blogland... but has lots of great things to share... one of which is a peek into her life as a Mommy of the sweetest, looking lil' girl!

~*NEW*~ Pattern Release!

~*Friendship Book*~
An Olde~tyme, Prairie Style Autograph Book




Hello my Dear friends! Yes... I have a new pattern. Moving all my craft stuff last weekend must have worked! It freed up my mind & gave me a sense of clarity. YIPPEE!

I have often been fascinated by old autograph books. Doing some research into the history of them, I found that they were mostly used by college students. They would sign them almost like we do now on our yearbook pages. (From what I remember from signing yearbooks over 20 years ago!) But, I wondered.... what would it have been like for a lil' girl on the prairie. What if she had a book where she could have her friends sign? Or, what if she just carried a book to write her own thoughts & notations?

Well, this is what I came up with. The finish is sort of 'Fallish' with the squirrels standing proudly showing their fruits of labor ~ the glorious bloom, a cross, and the year '1848'. Why not stitch one up to set out at Thanksgiving when your family and friends come by. They could sign... when this you see ~ remember me...

I was thinking yesterday... well for a few days actually... it is time for another freebie. I worked up a simple chart last night, but I want to stitch it first & offer you a free finish along with it. So, look for it in the next few days. I won't let ya down. :)

~*Fresh Harvest Pears*~

Hello dear friends! Yes... we have TONS of ripe pears! I'm gonna need a bigger basket!





Look at the ones on the ground! You can get 'drunk' walking under the tree! The scent is very VERY sweet!



The sad thing.... I don't know how to can. I've made some pear crisp, but we can only eat so much of that. We have shared some with family... but have way more than we will use this year.

Tony does what he calls a 'walk about' through our yard on a daily basis. The cats follow along behind him. When he passes the tree, he grabs 2 or 3 to enjoy while he walks.

It is amazing how many we have on this lone pear tree... we didn't fertilize or spray them. They are just Nature's yummy gifts!

We have been enjoying our Halloween Weekend with loads of fun... and loads of candy. Trinity rode his horse for Trick or Treating...



For the annual costume party last night... we decided to go as Animal House toga goers... (Trinity added his own 'twist' to his costume)...



The party is given by my sister and brother in-law each year. They have it on their farm with a roaring fire, great food, and awesome FUN! We look forward to it each year & just love to see all the costumes everyone comes up with.

Hello dear friends! I've worked on getting things caught up today ~ you know, the boring stuff like laundry & cleaning. I did get some pictures for some Ebay and Lemon Poppy seed offerings... but have suddenly run out of steam.

I have many more offerings to put up, but probably won't have a chance to work on them until Monday. Tomorrow is a fun family day. My darling hubby has decided to race his rc cars. Trinity might even get in on the fun with a new car that arrived for him in today's mail. My boys do love their remote control cars!

Hi Friends! I've been happily punchin' away.... on more punkin's of course! BUT, I've also been working the final touches on 2 more cross stitch patterns! The funny thing is though... the cross stitches aren't Fall~fevered..... but I think you will still like them.... at least I hope you will like them. :) My creative energy has been on HIGH GEAR & I'm really excited about showing you everything I've been working on!

Hello My Dear Friends! I just have to show this off! My buddy Beth made this from my freebie doodle, Independence Crow! She always does such delightful work. She needle punched the front of the pinkeep... but then did a lil' cross stitch on the back.....



She told me she does plan on listing it on Ebay soon.... but it isn't there yet. Her seller id is heartstringprimitives. Beth also has a very sweet blog.... and a couple of REALLY sweet kids.... The Twist Family.

It has been a weekend of playing catch up.... after our visit in Oklahoma. Dad is doing well, but still has a long road of healing ahead of him. Your continued prayers on his behalf are GREATLY appreciated. Thank you! I've started laundry and tried to clean the house (but just a little)... weeded the big flower bed in the front & have plans to bake a peach cobbler with some sweet peaches from my mother-in-law. YUMMY! My body is aching to create ~ so hopefully I can pull out a needle before the day is over. Oh... and it is getting to be time for another freebie doodle too.... watch for it in the next couple of days.... whatever it may be. ;)

It feels like it anyway.... I have FINALLY listed another finished ditty on Ebay! Good golly, it has only been a week or two, but feels like months. Why is that? Maybe it has something to do with the business of Springtime.... or is it just me getting older?

It was fun hooking this one up. I love to make the hit n' miss rugs (you might have noticed that already! LOL). I think of it as being part of my Spring cleaning.... using up woolly strips from my huge basket full!

In fact, the PRHG is in the beginning of a challenge I have proposed to them. I have challenged the members to hook up a rug using one shape (of their choice) repeatedly & then hooking with worms from their left-over basket ONLY. Which reminds me... I should get busy on my challenge rug!
